Help with Tele neck pickup....please? Thanks!

Hi guys!
I need to replace my Tele neck pickup. Right now I have the Vintage Stack STK-T1n and don't like it for my style and I don't like how it blends with the bridge Litle 59.

I also had the Fender Twisted Tele. I don't like either.

I don't need noiseless and in fact I think I am finding I enjoy single coil pickups that are not noiseless. The stock singles in my strat are so much fatter and punchier for example.

I also don't think there are many hotter options for the Tele neck pickup, so noiseless is fine.
We play classic rock, 90s rock and hard rock.

How about the Hot for Tele STR-2? What about the QRT LBer STR3? I have to be honest, I am even considering replacing the Little 59 with the Quarter Pounder set since I already have lots of humbucker guitars.

Right now the guitar has two 500K pots. If I switch to one of the above neck Duncan singles, would you go back to the stock 250K pots?

Thanks! Thanks so much!

I had a hot neck model in a tele years ago (wish I hadn't gotten rid of it) and I loved the tone of it. Maintained a nice clean tone without getting into humbucker territory but was very rich and sweet for distorted leads. I want to get another tele soon and the hot set is definitely going in it.

IMO, change the pots to A250k before you change anything else.

Right now, I am running a Fender MIM 60th Anniversary Standard Tele with the Li'l '59 and a P90 Stack. It makes Rock/Blues noises. Hardly sounds like a traditional Tele at all.

One pickup change that will definitely surprise you is a TV Jones Classic in the neck position.

Why 250K? The 500K pots I installed are nice and it is way more versatile than 250K because I can always roll back the tone knob to make it sound like 250K. When you have a tone knob, why would you want to limit yourself???

A250k

I wish Duncan made a hotter and noiseless Tele neck pickup!

I had the vintage stack from Seymour Duncan for a while and really enjoyed its chime. Though, I understand your need for a bit more punch, because I went through the same thing. I don't know what wood you Tele is made of, mine is ash, and I found that I really, really enjoy the Wilde L280TN... It has a nice clarity and chime if you want it to, throw some gain at it and it handles it amazingly.

I found with the Seymour Duncan stacks that I was almost there in terms of sound, then once I got the Wilde set, I knew I was home. The Seymour Duncan stuff has been great (for my other guitars), but for my Tele it wasn't quite there. For reference, I was using the Hot Lead Stack STK-T2B and the Vintage Stack Rhythm STK-T1N. The Wilde L290TL/L280TN is what I settled on. Also, I should mention that the Wilde set is noiseless too.

I never notice noise issues with standard strat and tele pickups. I am trying to make the Vintage stack work but it has trouble keeping up with the Lil 59. I want to try the hot tele neck pickup, STR-2.

In the end, I bet I could not tell the difference over the Vintage Stack.
