Help with wiring needed!!!!!

I've got a slight problem with wiring - i'm wiring 2 seymour duncan pick ups into a 'wirless' RG550 - i've bought a 3 way selector and i'm a little cofused at the 8 connections at the base of the 3 way switch - i'm new to wiring and the seymour duncan wiring diagram looks easy to follow but it shows you only connect to 3 ( or it may be 4 as the central wire to the volume pot seems to connect to 2 connections and then becomes a single wire to the volume pot) - i do know the switch i bought is a 3 way selector but the connections are the same as a 5 way switch housing, so i know some of these connection point become redundant - but which ones?)
Any help would be much appreciated and might put this rookie on the road to finishing wiring up his six string.

Cheers

Re: Help with wiring needed!!!!!

Basically you have two separate 3-way switches combined. Each side is independant. On each side one pole is a "common", the other three correspond to each of the three switch positions.

The upper right one is your switch:

See how you connect one pickup to each of the common poles, then depending on the switch position, you either get B, B+N, or N.

Other than that difference in switches, this diagram is the one you want:
