[Jackson dkvp]

im going to be real specific here

i play a jckson dkmg which have 2 emg hz in them (that jackson has a bridge and a neck humbucker) i want to change the pickups the style of music i play is mostly 80's metal specific band i play are

dio(vivian campbell is my most influential guitarist)

metalica(a little)

JB at the bridge for those tones should be an outstanding choice. Many of the 80's guitarists used JB's in superstrat style guitars. A 59 at the neck would make a nice compliment, or perhaps an APH II if you want smoother tones ala Slash.

I forget about the Jb. I would go with a Dimarzio super distortion in the bridge. A bunch of 80s guitarists used this pickup. Same as the JB. I think the Super distortion sounds a hell of alot better. As far as the neck goes a paf of some sorts would do fine.

well i play alot of the same stuff you do and i have a jackson KE equipped with a JB in the bridge and a Paf Pro in the neck, it rocks and i havent found a better combo for myself.
back then in the 80s a lot of artists were using JBs.
plus the JB is a pretty versatile pup.

what amp do u play thru anyway?
