im assuming that you have a three single coil strat. do you want humcancelling in all positions?
my suggestion would be an ssl1 in the neck, a lil 59 in the middle and a hot rails in the bridge. the ssl1 in the neck will give you a vintage strat tone for blues. the lil 59 will give you a fatter hotter tone for classic rock and the hot rails will give you the high output crunch for metal. i would split the lil 59 in the #2 position so you get humcancelling and a more traditional notch tone.
position one will hum a little but the others will all be dead quiet.

We spoke before I have a 2005 usa strat with a s1 switch want to play stevie ray vaughn and classic
rock,some metal, blues. been told to use fender texas
spl's neck and middle , Hum at bridge ? also s1 bridge

no idea of what i'm doing does the s1 switch change
