1st brass top....old Silvertone with a crack in the face.......converted to an electric brass top.



2nd brass top.....on Honduran Mahogany.



3rd brass top.....on Honduran Mahogany.

Interesting pickup configuration on that last one. I think I'd be tearing up my knuckles on those screw heads.

Why?........Because brass adds to the tone as well as sustain. These guitars sound excellent as well as being different than anything else out there.

Makes sense that brass saddles would do that. Does just slapping some brass on top of wood add sustain?

Not being a jerk, just not sure I understand the science here.

Anything that gets bolted,glued or attached to a guitar will resonate and forever change its tone.

Just like different tonewoods produce different results.......so does adding brass on a guitar. Adding mass....reducing mass....heavier.......lighter.......denser......porous. Even the neck material changes the overall tone on a guitar. Titanium would be different than aluminum or copper or bronze or whatever. From experience and the fact I spent the money to create it........believe me when I say.......it works.......beautifully.
