I'm posting this for a friend....

You are buying an incredible example of guitar history. If you're considering this guitar, then you probably know that this guitar was made by the Gibson employees that made the famed Gibson guitars of the 1950's and 60's like the Les Paul and ES-335 at the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This classic example is based upon the original design of the Les Paul to include the sharp cutaway and Goldtop finish Les himself requested. This particular model is about 1/2 thinner than a typical Les Paul, making it much easier to play for longer periods being lighter without the chambered Swiss cheese Gibson produces today. To round out this guitar, it has original Grover kidney tuners, Nashville bridge and tailpiece as well as Gibson 57 classic pickups in open coil black bobbins. The guitar has a solid mahogany body, thick bound maple cap. 24.75" scale neck, in a slim 60's neck profile, rosewood fretboard, mother of pearl dot inlays, and a bone nut. This guitar is twenty years old, so it has some of the natural wear of a real nitro finished guitar. It does have some checking and wear marks on the edge of the top, back of the neck, and some finish checking, to include a checking mark on the rear of the headstock's stinger, but it is NOT a headstock crack. The original Schaller tailpiece rubbed some of the finish off the top, but otherwise, she looks good for her age. OHSC
