Heritage H-140 new pickups

Degradation Trip

New member
Hey, so my Heritage H-140 still has the stock pickups in it, 59 in the neck & Custom 5 in the bridge. Overall it sounds pretty great but I really want something more vintage, warmer and fatter in the bridge. Maybe a bit more of that classic Les Paul honk/quack. I plan on taking these pickups out and putting them in my SG faded so I'm looking for a new neck & bridge. In terms of style like Peter Green, Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons (1st ZZ album), Duane etc. Not sure if I want to go for a full Peter Green style set, might be a little thin and too bright.

Thanks

I'd look for the excellent Seth Lover set, which is about as vintage sounding as you can get. Really, they are perfect for the sound you are looking for,

The answer for your request is a second-hand Antiquity set, which you should change the degaussed stock magnets for fully-charged A3 for the neck one and A2 for the bridge.

That will get you exactly what you're asking for.
