Nice! I'm tempted to sell a few guitars, to raise some money...

I was actually just looking at that on ebay last night, not knowing it was for sale by a forum member. Free bump for one SWEET guitar!

Hey Jolly, I like them for a couple reasons:
1) the high value - they're over 525K
2) the taper

That being said; before swapping any pots (or pickups or caps!!!)
I'd
1) See if yours are audio/log taper or linear + measure them so you have a baseline - know exactly what you're comparing if you replace them.
2) try 50s wiring. I NEED it! For me controls are much more usable - I'm a knob fiddler.
Search the forum or Google it for a better explanation than I can give.

The pots they replaced were CTS standard pots and were fine except a friend over heated them when installing pickups and they were hence ruined.
If that didn't happen I wouldn't have replaced them.

Yeah, I went with Mojotone CTS pots and some NOS 300k Gibson pots to replace the stock Alpha pots. The Gibsons are fine, but the taper on the Mojotone's are terrible, and they drop out at 1 or 2. I am going to replace them. I did my own wiring, by the way - it's not a LP, but it's the same 2H 2Vol 2Tone and 3-way toggle. Sorry for the thread hijack, but good luck with the sale. I wouldn't mind buying it if I could.
