I went to look at a Heritage last night on a tip from a friend. Had no iidea what to expect. I knew it was an older one when he pulled out the case because it was a rectangular Heritage case which they stopped using in the early 90s. The case opened to reveal a tele shaped signature model that i was never aware existed!!!!

LEON RHODES....a very well known country picker!!! Evidently was friends or Roy Clark and Ren Wall...had a Heritage signature model.

This is 1 of 4 made, as the story goes.

Mahogany body/neck, rosewood board, Bill Lawrance pickups, Schaller hardware....all factory original!!!!!

Re: Heritage Tele...monster find!

Thats a very cool guitar, love the pup configuration and the color too. Nice find!

Re: Heritage Tele...monster find!

It's cool, but I'd hesitate to call it a "Tele". It's got the body shape, but that's about it. ToM bridge, Strat type pickup configuration, rail pickups... It's like a mashup of every guitar style out there.
