Hermida Zendrive and Mosferatu clips

Well, I finally had a chance to sit down and make some quick clips of my Hermida Zendrive and Mosferatu. They turned out sounding better than I expected, as I had to run them in front of a GuitarPort since I don't have any way to record my amp. I'll post a screenshot of my GP settings, as well as a pic of the way the knobs are set on the pedals.

Each clip starts on the neck humbucker clean, then dirty, then the bridge pickup clean and dirty. As I said, these clips came out surprisingly accurate, but still don't represent exactly how these pedals sound when pushing a tube amp. The Zendrive sounds a little grainier here than it does with my amp, and the combination of pedals sounds a little more compressed and flubby (I think maybe they got too hot for the GP's input). The Mos clip sounds pretty true though, it came out great.

Yeah, I've heard the Zen sound "cleaner"....more than likely the GP.

One of these days, I'm gonna make it down to Alfonso's & see if he can hook me up. The last time I talked to him, he was developing a tube driven OD....so who knows; maybe guys will ditch their current MOS & ZEN for the new one & I'll snatch them up then

One of these days, I'm gonna make it down to Alfonso's & see if he can hook me up. The last time I talked to him, he was developing a tube driven OD....so who knows; maybe guys will ditch their current MOS & ZEN for the new one & I'll snatch them up then

That's the Zendrive 2, I've heard they're similar except the 2 has a bit more grit and can dial up more gain, plus being even more touch responsive. He's also supposed to be releasing a Zen/Mos combination pedal, which will be awesome.

I asked if he could make me a combo Zen & Mos pedal(call it the "Ying Yang":bigok: ).....he said he could & would do it, but his current orders & trying to get the Zen2 up & running, he couldn't really say when he'd be able to do it.

Either way, both pedals are on my list:beerchug:

I've heard some soundclips of the Zen 2 (a couple people over at thegearpage have test models, including Scott Lerner I believe). It sounds pretty sweet! And of course I know the Zen/Mos combo is killer .

I'm on the list for the Zen 2... I'll post some reviews when I get it. The time frame is unknown at this point.

Sweet, you'll definitely have to post your thoughts on it when you finally get to tinker . Hopefully you don't have to wait too long for it, Alf makes KILLER stuff.
