I haven't been here for a while now, mostly been active on a different forum and private/work life has been super busy.
I had to do a lot of changes with my guitars but I'm finally at a point where I'm really happy with.
Let me introduce you to my two babies here.
First is a MiK '04 Epiphone Les Paul Custom, upgraded with Gibson USA pickups, 490 series with gold covers. Those came from a '96 Gibson LP and they're likely to be made in my birthyear, 1995 - makes them real special to me. I rescued it from its previous owner, it looked like it had never been cleaned and it was the filthiest fretboard I've ever seen.... took care of that.
Since it came out I wanted the Björn Gelotte signature model from epiphone because I'm a huge fan of In Flames (they're my favorite band and Björn is very much someone I look up to) but I can't really afford it and it has EMGs ... don't like those. But I lucked out and got the case of this signature model and I even got the binder with the picture with it - the seller was a good dude. so happy to have this one! It's my number one. The pots and electronics are completely upgraded and she sounds just amazing, I put on original Gibson black top hats and the case is super lovely too. It is used and you can see it, and it has lots of mojo... wonderful fading and patina on the hardware. Very háppy with the DiMarzio Cliplocks, I have the ends attached to both my guitars and the strap is very high quality and feels super safe (I mean Jim Root from Slipknot tours with those.... if they can last through that, they're fine for me)

My other guitar is very new to me, but damn its amazing!
I couldn't trust my eyes when I saw it on local classifieds ... a 2011 Gibson Melody Maker Flying V!
Man... V's are damn cool. This is a pretty limited guitar, I heard only 600 are there ... don't know if that's true!
It's a bit smaller than a regular V and has a maple body, mahogany neck. nitro finish... man it smells so good and feels amazing! also shows some wear already which I really miss with the poly on my epi.
A one pickup rock machine that I picked up for only 280€ shipped - with upgraded tuners to Grover deluxe (the old ones were included) and a lightning bar tailpiece. Whenever it's time for band practice and I play standing up, this is my go to guitar. It sounds great and plays amazing, it's extremely well balanced and sits on my body just where I want my guitar to be and it plays like butter! Came with COA and in a neat gig bag. While I love the LP Custom look with all the binding and the gold hardware... a stripped down rawk machine is something I get really excited about.
Been rocking a crap ton of maiden on this one :headbang:
So happy I found this! Now I have GAS for Les Pauls and V's!
although I went a little overboard with this purchase... hope everything works out money wise.
