Re: Hey guys - Kramer question

Made in China. I've read mixed reviews on them. Among the original Neptune crowd, they're referred as Chamers or Kribsons. If you can find one locally to play, check it out. Considering the little effort Gibson puts in to the brand, I wouldn't expect a lot.

Re: Hey guys - Kramer question

Read both good and bad reviews about them. If the guitars are good, then they're really good. But if they are bad, then they're really bad. So it spans both sides of the spectrum.

Re: Hey guys - Kramer question

I have played them at the store, definitely one of those try before you buy brands, due to gibson's lack of interest into the brand.

I'm a Kramer Neptune fan myself, I'm not a fan of the recent Gibson efforts. Played a few at my local MGR and was not impressed. Better deals out there for the money...ex: Neck Thru LTD KH-503 at MGR for $279.99 and $299.99 and one on eBay that has run a couple times with initial bid of $220 and gone w/o a bid, all with HSC.

Definitely try it before you guy it.

I'm a huge Kramer fan and when they came out with the Pacer Classic I snatched one up only to get a junker. Bad paint, guitar looked like it had been thrown together, loose screws, hardware was complete junk, and just over all a bad build.

I do like the look of some of the newer designs like the LP you pictured but I would never ever buy one through the mail again.

Oh and resell value is nothing, buy used if you can, after Chibson sent a replacement for the junker they sent me it had takin me over 3 years to sell it at a $200 loss on a $400 guitar that was NIB never played.

Then some of the "higher end" models cost up word of $800  Considering I picked up my last real Kramer for $250 and it included a maple body, Schaller hardware, and a real OFR. I'll stick with vintage over made in from whatever asian country build them cheaper.
