Hey Tele Fans

Re: Hey Tele Fans

Well I don't NEED another Tele, but DAMN, that is sweet and that setup sounds killer. Wish I had money to burn... :32:

Re: Hey Tele Fans

I personally don't get on with Tele's but lately one or two have been catching my eye.

Looks as though it might be quite nice, wait until Lew sees it, he might want one to thrash about!!

Re: Hey Tele Fans

Nice! I like swamp ash tho. My James Burton is alder and heavier than my two swamp ash Teles...it's brighter too and being brighter is something most Teles don't need to be! LOL! Lew

Re: Hey Tele Fans

ive allways been a fan of sunbust tele's myself.....

this one doesnt look that bad though....

Re: Hey Tele Fans

One thing is for certain...If that luthier did a great job on that neck, it's far and away better than any stock Fender in that price range. Plus, the pickups and electronics are great. I think Lew is right about Swamp Ash. A couple weeks ago, I got that Schecter Custom Shop Tele that was made by a world class luthier. It's Southern Swamp Ash/rosewood on maple neck. I'm not kidding when I tell you... there's something magic in that guitar. The woods that came together on it, and the impeccable neck are something that just astounds me, everytime I play it...which is often.

On this one on Ebay. The 'new' price for that model was around $500, since it's a California series. They did about $150 worth of work on the neck and put about $150 into the pickups and electronics. I would pay $600, but probably no more than that.
$650 tops.
