HH pickup selection challenge! Mahog tele w. trem

Gents,
I have an all mahogany tele-style guitar with a mahogany neck and ebony board, and predictably it's a little on the dark side. I currently have two 36th anniversary pickups in it, but even with those it's a tad bit dark. In my stash, I have JB and Distortion bridge, and 59 and Jazz neck models, and I figure I have plenty of good combinations there to try before I look elsewhere. What do I try first, and what value volume and tone pot do I put with it? As dark as the guitar seems, 500k pots seem the way to go, but what are your thoughts?

I'd go 500k DD/Bridge, Jazz/Neck for starters.

I'd put the Jazz in the neck position and the '59n in the bridge position. Both of those bridge pickups that you have will be darker than a 36th Anniversary. The '59n makes a better bridge pickup than a neck pickup IMO (and a better bridge pickup than the '59b).
