HHH Rail Strat

Trouble with a HHH setup. Running a 3 humbucker strat. Figured that a 5 way delete and running 3 on/off/on mini toggles in a ( split , off , humbuck) configuration obviously 1 switch per pickup. Soon as I involved the tone pots I got lost. I was able to get a mock up to split and operate on the bench using the volume but when I incorporated the other 2 pickups I haven’t been able to get them to operate withe the 2 tone pots. Thought there would be more out there diagram wise for this because it sounds really simple, but has been kicking my butt for weeks now. Any help appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. A couple questions:

1. Are these Hot Rails / Cool Rails?

2. Do you want the traditional Neck tone / Middle tone / Bridge no tone?
Or N/M Tone / Bridge Tone?

Rails. N/M/B tone would be preferable. Teally thoughtbit was going to be less complicated. I also still have 2 .22 caps left or can order something else is needed. It has one installed from when I originally bought it.

N/M/B tone would be preferable.

Sorry. That doesn't really answer my question. A 5-way switch allows for some tone control isolation. Three toggles doesn't. Doing a Master vol / master tone, would be easy. Trying to do one tone for N/M and one for the bridge doesn't look possible.

I'll show what I've done so far.

The difficulty with your schematic is the 3 position ON-OFF-ON switches. I prefer the simpler 2 position DPDT toggles, because they are easier to use, and mostly the rail pickups don’t sound good with coil-splits anyway.

If using DPDT toggles, I would wire the following logic:
Bridge pickup OFF -> Select Tone 1
Bridge pickup ON -> Select Tone 2

I am very thankful for all of the help here. I will try and be more clear. I am wanting all of the functionality of the tones 1 and 2. The 3 switch toggles were so I could individually control each humbucker as split , off , or humbucker. The 5 way as I was trying seemed to just complicate it further. This would give me the ability to singularly select which pickup is active and allow SSS,SHH, HHS , HSH etc. and allow running all 3 pickups if so desired still keeping the ability to shut off any pickup in any combination. Reasons behinds it are simple I think it would be neat and I haven’t seen it. I have considered the Hyper Switch but not sure if it’s capable for the particular options I am trying to achieve.

Cool. I thought that's what you meant. Either of my diagrams does that. The 2nd one maintains humbucking when you select split, with N/M or M/B.
