A solution might be, to plug and re-drill for the bridge posts to move them slightly upwards. Then some work would be done to align the pups as well.

The OP said this is his NEW SG standard. If the guitar is new, why would anyone find it reasonable to spend the money and/or time to fix what is obviously a factory f-up? I'd send the damned thing back, but I guess I'm missing something.

Yeah my wife bought it new about 2 weeks ago. I didn't mess with it at first. Because I was real sick and didn't feel like it. I thought maybe I was used to an acoustic and needed to get back used to the feel of an electric again. I am going to contact the place she bought it from today.
