Historic Les Paul cheap

Re: Historic Les Paul cheap

Is that really a '54? It has the bridge of a '56. i may be wrong, but i think the '54 has a wrap-over bridge.

Re: Historic Les Paul cheap

All sorts of steals on Ebay, just replied to some kid who scored a classic for a solid grand. It kind of makes me sad that I'm broke... :) Life goes on!

Re: Historic Les Paul cheap

Did Les Paul really say that was his favorite model?

I don't think I've ever seen him play a Custom

and, I agree about the wrap around bridge

Re: Historic Les Paul cheap

I've seen Les Paul with a Black Beauty once before on some old video footage.

It was on a commercial for a Time/Life 50's music collection, actually.

I thought he used some sort of arch top which has a pine core inserted into it? Called the log or something?
"The Log" was the first playable solid-body electric he built. I doubt he played it after the LP came out.
