Hmmm... Treble bleed different for each pickup ?

I had a 330 pF cap only treble bleed stock on my pink Ibanez RG with stock Dimarzio IBZ pickups. It got really piercing and trebly (and hence felt "louder) at low volumes and although it got kinda annoying, The cleans were amazing though at volume 1-4, especially on the split positions 2/4 , so quacky!
I've since changed them for dimarzio PAF pro, Iron gear texas loco middle SC (which is not very bright for a SC) and FRED combination. I also first had a 390 pF cap in series with a 100k resistor, which didnt retain as much treble as I'd like, so I further reduced it to the 390 pF cap alone. Its still not as jangly and trebly as stock at low volumes. I understand 330pF = more treble , but does 60pF make that much of a difference ?!?! I miss the cleans I got at low volumes. Now my tone is only trebly at full volume, and it muddies fairly quickly, even with the 390 pF cap !!! The pickups are rated quite middy .... is the lack of overall treble from the pickups causing an inneffective treble bleed ?? To get a bright clear tone I have to play everything (both clean and distortion/lead on volume 10 all the time....)
I miss rolling down to 1 for a bright tone... Do different pickups react this differently to treble bleeds ?
The cap is wired correctly, between input and output lug. Maybe the stock pickups were just more trebly and suited to that kinda stuff in the first place... Should I try the 330pF cap or even lower at some point in future ??

Try the resitor and cap in parallel ?

now there is no resistor... just a cap yet still doesnt get bright enough ...
