So, I went to GuitarCenter looking for a little practice amp and picked up a killer Epiphone Valve Special...which is only half the story...but the biggest thing was playing and loving a Schecter Ultra III. I had only played a few Schecter's before this one and was pretty impressed but the Ultra III blew the door off the hinges. It does twang, it does crunch, and it does sludge. The stock pup's are sweetness incarnate, the Bigsby is bad@SS, the switches are neat, and the thing just looks damn cool. I though my GAS was over but, geez, was I oh so wrong. The Hamer gas is gone and I'm selling the Viper-400 in favor of the Ultra III. Damn you Schecter! Damn you!!!!!!!!
