Holy Grail in Egnater Tweaker Effects Loop - verrrry faint

When I use the Holy Grail in front of the amp, everything's fine (nice range of reverb from barely there to swampy) until I switch over to a dirty setting, at which point I have a lot of extra noise.

Common problem, that's what the effects loop is there for. Righto, I got that.

When I put the Holy Grail in the effects loop of the Egnater, I have plenty of guitar signal, but the reverb signal is barely there, and my range is now "not there at all" to "hey, is this thing on?"

What gives?

Parallel effects loop? Need a touch of clean boost after the reverb in the chain to bring it up? Need a different reverb pedal to do this right?

I don't have a Tweaker, but I do have 2 Egnaters.. the loops are buffered series loops.. I've never had any problem using any effects in them.. have you tried using other FX in the loop?

Only other pedals I've got are a fuzz, an OD, a tremolo and a compressor... I know the tremolo loses some signal...

ETA: Ha! Got it ironed out: recently purchased an Egnater cab. Sounds like the cab I was running lost those really high ranges of treble responsible for spacial effect...

There is an issue with the effects loop. A lot of people are having problems with their pedals. Supposedly the effects loop is geared toward rack effects. Some pedals will work but many don't. Both my Boss DD3 and my Reverb pedal don't work well but I have an old Boss rackmount delay that works perfectly. It has something to do with the difference between line level signals (racks) and instrument level signals (pedals).

I just realized this with my Tweaker recently. There is some info on this subject out there. There is also some kind of convertor that can be purchased that would allow your pedals to work.

I had to insert a TC Nova repeater delay which has a high headroom input. I was able to add other pedals after that. Without the repeater in there every pedal was bleeding all the high end out of my tone. There is the 15 watt head. As someone mentioned rack effects work too.

I've got a Tweaker.
The FX loop return signal is too hot for some analog pedals; my EHX Memory Toy sounds a bit too dark through it and with higher gain settings it gets worse.
There's two solutions:

1) Dropping the hottest 12AX7 tube you can in V2. Some say it helps, for some reason.
2) Modifying the amp. There's a schematic released by Bruce himself of a switch that makes the loop a bit less hot.
