For me, it would be interesting to compare the old stacks to the new Silencers at some point.
I've been keeping my eye out for a noiseless version of Duncan Phat Cats. Not sure the Silencers are that, but they sounded really good in your video. They were different, though. Sounded a little smoother, refined and produced, not as 'loose'. Noticeable in the neck tones, like real P90s were closer to Hendrix-y Strat tones, while the Silencers seemed more 'compressed' or 'packed' while still having some single neck character.

Yes, "more compressed" was my takeaway.
Not exactly the same, but close enough for me, and not having the hum any more makes the tradeoff more than worth it IMO.

Thank you for doing this Aaron. I've actually been thinking about the PhatCat version of the hot silencer set to replace the humbuckers in my Strats
I don't use P90s enough to hear even a 10% difference, so they are absolutely worth that tradeoff for me. I hate hum. Silencers are also better sounding to me than last generation P90 stacks, which didn't sound very good to me.
