Hot Rails or Cool Rails

Hey guys,

Got to get a new neck pup for my USA Jackson Soloist. Alder Body, Maple Neck thru w/ Ebony.

This axe is for Rawkin. I'm thinking of that cool Dave Murray neck lead sound.

What d'ya think? Hot or Cool?

Dave Murray.... what a player!!! In his strat he plays three hot rails, used to play DiMarzio Super Distortions. But if Dave's your man, and metal is your thing, hot rails for sure. I have one in the bridge and middle of my strat and paired with the MARSHALL i can get his exact tones, particularly the recent ones (since hot rails came out and he switched to them from Super Distortion)

hotrails it is. my guitar teacher had 3 of em in his strat and it sounded awesome, it'll most likely fulfill your needs no doubt

Just make sure to get the Hot Rail neck pickup for the neck position.
