Havw always loved the look of tailfins. Maybe not on a guitar for me personally, though.
With the Bigsby, it seems to have been purpose-built for rockabilly.

Don’t much care for it. However, the idea of a completely different looking guitar is cool. EVH did a masterful job of overhauling the stagnant look of guitars. Not much has happened along those lines since.

Ali-Kat Guitars,South Australia. The bodies on these are all alloy.
Very unique tone.
They have a heap of other,more traditional,designs in their range.
As fair as 57 Chevy style guitars go, I think the American Showster axes from the 80's are the original and the best.
