Hotrod Deville input question

Hey guys quick question about the 2 inputs. Are they different in any way? If I have my pedal board plugged into one input and then another guitar going directly into the second input will there be an change in sound if only one instrument is being used at a time?

as long as something is plugged into both inputs they will be the same. if you only plug something in one then they are different. the 1 is normal and the 2 is padded by 3 db or something like that.
once you plug something in to both then they are both the same (padded)
