Bridge-JB bridge

What I'm thinking of trying
Neck-JB Bridge
Bridge-Duncan Distortion Bridge

I almost never use my 59, so i'm thinking i'll sell the 59 and buy a D Distortion. Move the JB into the neck.

For hard rock/metal, I'd just go with a Distortion set. I've had a JB bridge in the neck before and it was too muddy for me. However, I've had the Distortion Neck pickup in a couple guitars and it's awesome.

Re: How bout this combo for hardrock/metal

thanks Austin-
I might go with a distortion set, as I really want it in w/ a nickel cover, and there's a set w/ nickel covers on ebay right now, selling separately.

Although to save money I may just try out the jb in the neck for now, and get the distortion neck later if i'm not happy.

You're right, considering you've already got it on hand, there's absolutely nothing wrong with trying JB out. But it you find it too hot/muddy, I think a distortion neck would be the next pickup to try.
