I just purchased a Fender American Hot Rodded Series Double Fat Strat with a Seymour Duncan "'59 Humbucker" pickup in the Neck Position and a Seymour Duncan "Pearly Gates" pickup in the Bridge Position.
In order to get the complete decal off the new guitar, I had to remove the pickguard, and in doing so the two pickups came completely off.
Anyway, I got the decal off and put the guitar back together, but now the pickups are not at the correct height, whatever that height should be. I thought I would just adjust the height of the pickups until I got the maximum volume, but that is very difficult to determine.
Does anybody know if there is some guideline for the distance between the strings and the pickup assembly?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
