How do I remove a speaker that has been glued to the front baffle?

How do I remove a speaker that has been glued to the front baffle, without destroying the cone? Is there a homemade tool or finesse move, to ease the process?

I am just thinking out loud here, but in the past I have had speakers that I thought were glued but instead were just kinda "stuck". A little wiggling and finesssing has always gotten them out for me. Also when I got my 75' Lux the speakers sort of "aged" into the baffle, but there again just wiggling on them and spending some time and they came out fine.

most industrial speaker glues use acetone as a 'base' so buy some acetone. (wearing gloves cause it's bad fo your skin) apply quite a bit of it (it does evaporate fast) to the area that the speaker is glued in. If the glue is based with acetone, you should be able to remove the speaker quite easily after you let the chemical break the glue down. If this doesn't work, tolulene (maybe wrong spelling but essentially paint thinner) is another option along with the butter knife. acetone only damages ABS so your metal frame + paper cone speaker will be 100% safe.
