How do T-tops compare?

Hi. I believe my 79 335TD has T-Top pickups. To me, the sound of these isn't quite right: the lower strings sound kind of boomy on the neck pickup when clean, and the bridge pickup is a bit thin, especially clean (although it has a nice bite when overdriven). The neck pickup has a nice bluesy tone when overdriven.

How would a JB bridge and 59 or Jazz neck compare?

EDIT: I've read some good comments on T-Tops, and am worried about getting these things changed and wishing I hadn't! Any views would be welcome... Thanks.

As with all things Norlin, your experience may vary....

I think the one in my neck position, is as smokin bad as any A2P, maybe more so. Total SLASH sound & more on demand. I pulled the bridge version because it was just tired sounding. I'd say they are closer to the sound of a 59 than anything else - but that's not really right. They are NOT anything like a JB or a Jazz.
