How do you know what magent it is?

Can you just look at a magnet and tell if its alnico or ceramic? how can i tell what i have?

Two had the same color and one another ...I'm too tired to not mix it up ... do a search on the board and you'll find it

BTW Ceramic is dull/darker and dont look metallic if casted.
Dont laugh! When i put it out of a pup, i write its origin its age on the magnet (like: DiMarzio PAF 1979 A5), then i put them on my fridge and test the strength against other i have!

Duncan color codes his on the smaller edges of the magnets....

A5 is black
A2 is blue
Ceramic is almost black overall in color(The magnet itself)
