How easy is it to install blend knobs in OD pedals...?

To get kind of a dual amp effect... The Clean sound AND the ability to control how much OD/clean ratio you want.

I'm building a clone of a distortion pedal and I want to pair it with a low gain OD, and install a blend control for both sides.

The Boss Line Selector LS-2 allows you to combine loops 1 and 2 and has level controls for each.

I'm just brainstorming as I type here, what if you made an adder out of an opamp and used a dual gang linear pot to control the gain of each input? One input would be the signal after the OD circuit and one would be a tap from before the clipping stage? I don't know if that type of pot would give you the smooth, constant gain you'd need, what type of pots do they use for faders in mixing boards, are they dual gang, log/reverse log taper?

Never understood this thing!?
That is one of the things I really dislikes in some od pedals...too much clean.
Sounds like the thing is malfunctioning
