I'm one of them now. I play bass in one band & guitar in another & I was always borrowing a bass to play. Not anymore. Another impulse buy at the music store yesterday. Got me a used Fender Squire P Bass. Metallic blue with black pickguard. Plays beautifully & here's the kicker, I got it for $100!!! Helps if you know the store owner I guess.

My axe family is multiplying more than I ever planned!

3 electrics, 2 acoustics & now 1 bass. Okay, that's it! No more! :smack:

I got a bolt-on Carvin for recording, and it's a great instrument. I don't think it'll ever replace the guitar as my primary instrument, but it's fun to play.

I started out playing bass. I've still got my old Epi Jazz copy. It's really cheap and the pickups suck, but it's got a string-through bridge. Some Basslines and it would probably be good to go.

I own 2 basses, actually. A late 60's Rickenbacker 4001 and a '78 3-holer Jazz Bass with EMG's.

I've got four at the moment: '91 Peavey Fury, '93 Carvin LB20 Fretless, '00 Warwick Streamer Std. 5, '03 Fender Std. Jazz (seriously modded)

Compare that to currently one acoustic guitar and two electrics nad...well it's kinda obvious that I'm a bassist first.

I have an ESP LTD B304, otherwise known as "Black Beauty" or "Beauty" for short. Lovely instrument. I'll probably be playing her tonight at church.

i have a P-bass from rondomusic. its fun and comes in handy for recording, but nothing can replace guitars!

I've got an older MIJ fender Jazz bass, which is pretty cool...beat up pretty bad, but I got it cheep! I also have "The Plank" which is a plywood P-Bass, with a ceramic P-Bass pickup and a Might Mite neck...I got it in a trade sometime back...it wieghts a ton, but in truth it soiunds pretty good!

I have a Tokai Jazz Sound ('64 dot-neck Jazz Bass copy) that I bought in 1985 when I was playing bass in a band in London for a couple of years. It was new but "shop soiled" - someone had put a big ding in the side of the top cutaway, hardly noticeable from the front. Bargain at £170!! It's a great bass and I've just kept it because I reckon it's the only one I'll ever need. These days it only gets used for the occasional rehearsal or recording.

I need to do some better pics of some of my gear, but here's a Rather Dull Pic Of My Tokai Bass.

I have a Yamaha RBX 270 (I think) bass, with 1 P pup and 1 J pup. I'm thinking about putting a set of Duncans in it at the minute
