How many guitarists here also own a bass?

Re: How many guitarists here also own a bass?

I started out on bass because I could already read the cleff b/c I was a tuba player in Junior High, HS and my first year of college. So I picked up the bass in 9th grade. My grandfather "loaned" me his Gibson EB-O and Kustom tuck and roll Bass amp. A few years later he flat out gave them to me. Right now both are at my Bass Players house.

That's pretty cool. I have a "68 Gibson EB-3, bass (BTW the EB series basses have an SG style body) that was given to me. It was sort of a payment for some sound work I did for a church. I also got the Bassman amp and cab, in my sig, from the same place. They were purchased as a set in 1968 for the churches youth group. The amp is horrible for bass, especially the high output EB "hooter " pickup, but it sounds great on guitar. I use the bass for writing and recording.
