How much do you think my Fender has in trade value?

After having had Karla (the neckthru strat) for all of less than a week, I've determined that the neck on my Highway 1 is just too wide for me. I'm just wondering what the trade value on this thing is worth. I'm looking for something with a more narrow neck than a strat, but a similar-enough profile. I'd love a Gibson though even though the profiles are pretty different. Here's what I've done to the guitar, taken directly from an email I sent to a guy on CL that had an SG standard describing my mods:

Fender "F" branded locking tuners
WIlkinson VS1000 bridge
Graph Tech nut
Duncan pickups - JB Jr bridge, SSL-5 middle, Lil' 59 neck
Overhauled electronics - CTS pots, master volume w/ treble bleed mod, master tone, pickup blend knob in place of rear tone knob
Axeguardz pickguard and backplate with innovative shielding technology
Strung with 11's

What would you say is an appropriate price to sell her for, and what would you put the trade value at? D'ya think I could get an SG Standard for it? Any Gibson LP's above the Studios? Although I'd love one of those Faded 50's tribute models...

IMO, you might get a better deal by trading with somebody for the guitar that you want. You will never recoup the full cost of the mods you have made. With a little luck, your guitar could be somebody else's fantasy.

I could imagine Astrozombie digging your H1 Strat. He may have a Gibson to suit you.

When you say narrow neck than a strat but similar profile,the first thing come into my mind is Ernie Ball/Music Man :approve:

A highway 1 with that much modification isn't gona go for a lot man -- probly not Gibson money and if we're talkin Gibson we're talkin faded series.

Speak of the devil - someone offered me a faded SG with a WCR Darkburst neck and JB bridge, and the original pups, + aftermarket case. Seems like a good deal.

I think it's too cool to trade but once it doesn't suit you anymore playing-wise.....

Out of curiosity, how does the JB sound in an SG? I know most people prefer come Custom variant in the bridge of an SG, but I don't hear much about the JB in one.

I didn't like it but its still a good deal. Sell the JB for $45 and buy a used CC or C5 here for the same price. A little bit of soldering and you'll have a great guitar.

Or magnet swap....an A2 or 8 work well - ask blueman as he's always on about these combos.

SG's have a completely different resonance to LP's, which is what JB's struggle in. Who knows, the stock pup may actually be just what you like!

Awesome, dude. That sounds like a pretty sweet deal. That Strat is sooo awesome but I just can't find it in my heart to tell someone NOT to get an SG so...yeah, good luck with the trade, dude. :beerchug:

I know. I absolutely love this thing, and I hate that it's going away, but I just can't jive with the neck. If I could afford a Warmoth neck, I'd love to do that, but it's not a reality ATM. Oh well, at least I know what pickup combo to go with when I do someday build a Warmoth that'll fit my hand better. As it is, the size of this neck makes my hand cramp up just a little bit after playing for like 15 minutes.
