how to connect Kemper AND PC to same headphones?

I really like my Kemper amp, but I wish I could somehow combine the Kemper signal with my pc audio signal so I could use guitar pro ,band-in-a-box,playbacks or just a metronome...
I wanted to buy simple headphone Y-splitter cable ,like this one:

but I read somewhere that it might damage the audio sources
is that true?
has anyone tried something similar to this?

Use an interface, like Presonus' Audiobox. Connect Kemper. Connect headphones to interface. Play track. Done.

I use a little 12 channel Behringer mixer for Computer, Phone, Keyboard & POD into headphones and monitors. (4 mono sources and 4 stereo sources) a 4 channel or 8 channel may work for your needs.

A Y-cable shouldn't hurt anything, but for ease of use, invest in a cheap mixer like PFDarkside wrote. Or buy an interface to get the digital version of a mixer.

That way you get way better audio fidelity.

are you sure it would hurt the audio quality?
it's just a passive parallel blend (like two pickups basically)

Well, you connect headphones to two different headphone amps and use their volume to blend the signal. It will probably work a-ok, but there are better solutions.

Just remember, headphone outputs are usually just stereo. A Y-cable is a stereo input to L and R, or vica versa. So you can not have stereo out from Kemper and computer at the same time. Unless you use a mixer that sums the signal to a singel stereo output. See?

Actually, just checked the manual. You can use return and alternativ in on the back off the kemper as a stereo aux in for mp3 players and whatnot.

Nognow: check your kemper manual. And you'll need a mini stereo jack -> 2x TS cable.
