How to de-wax a pickup??

I potted a Seth a while back for the heck of it... it was an extra...
Is there any way to get most of the wax out?
It now sounds quite dead, blunt etc...

Its a pita! Dont do it.
In case, you need a hair dryer, lots of Kleenex and luck!
