How to identify 2001-2 Era Tele Neck Pickup?

My dad has a 2001-2002 (based on the serial) American Standard Telecaster. I love the neck pickup on it. In starting my research I can see that modern AS Tele's have a "twisted tele" variant for the neck pickup.

Does anybody know what would have been used back in 2001-2002? Or is there some other way to identify it?

The stock pickups on 2000's American Strats and Teles were hotter/overwound Fender single coils. They usually called them American single coils but there was no further information beyond that.

The Stratosphere ebay shop probably has some. Those guys parts out all kinds of Fender guitars.
