How to install slider switch in boss pedal?

I want to install it under the tone control on my DS-1. How would I drill for it?

I recommend a dremel. What’s it for, just on/off?

You'd be better off with a mini-toggle with a small base. It'll fit better than that. And easier to get the hole the right size and shape.

They haven't invented a square or rectangular drill bit yet. You could drill a small hole and use jeweler files to shape it, the metal in those cases is soft, but I don't have that kind of patience. I would go with a mini toggle, the slide switches aren't really conducive to manual modded holes.

Just use a toggle switch and drill a round hole. It will be a nightmare trying to make a good square hole in that tough boss casing, and you won't have any benefit from a slider.

I could see putting a slider in plastic maybe, but wouldn't attempt it in metal.
That's just me, though.

Interesting. I was considering a slider because it looks cleaner, but maybe I'll just go for a toggle switch.

Unless there are any low profile methods of installing a switch that I'm just not thinking of?
