How to measure DC on a 2 wire pup?

How do you measure the DC resistance of a 2 wire pup...just a black and silver (braided) wire?

Then I want to wax pot? Are there instructions on how to wax pot?

Put a test lead on either wire, it makes no difference. Do a search on potting plus my name and you can see how to pot a pickup.
