How to Remove "Footprints" from Stacking Heads

I searched the forum but couldn't find anyone else talking about this. Do you guys ever stack heads, and find that they leave "footprints" on the one underneath? I'm referring to the impressions in the tolex. It looks like four shiny spots where the feet were. Is this permanent, or does anyone have suggestions about how to repair/remove these spots? I tried cleaning with Windex, which had no effect.

Thanks, I was thinking about Armor All. I could probably hide the marks by shining up the rest of the amp...

On wood
you can wet a wash rag
Place on top of dent
place a hot iron on the wet rag
Steam it up


This may not work with vinyl

I have found that Armor All rehydrates the vinyl which causes it to plump a bit. This may cause the indentation to fill out.

Thanks guys. I had the same line of thinking. Either polish or heat.

I'll try Armor All or another vinyl cleaner/polish first. If that doesn't work, I'll try warming it up gently with hairdryer.
