How to use final rack space.....

I have one space left that I need to fill on my rack. I have a Marshall 9200/JMP-1, A Furman RP-L8 power conditioner, and a Rocktron Intellifex. 1 more space. I was thinking about a drawer.... but they're expensive for what they're used for. Any suggestions? Would adding another Hush in addition to the Intellifex one decrease noise even more? I haven't gotten it yet, so I don't know how it'll handle it. And also, can anyone offer feedback on the Online Intellifex model? Thanks.

Re: How to use final rack space.....

I'd go with a BBE Sonic Maximizer. GREAT piece of rack gear.

sweet rack - enjoy!

no need for another hush ... only does what the intellifex already does ...

rackmount tuner?

blank panel with your name stenciled on it?

good luck

Something in Neon lights, or something glow-in-the-dark? Probably avoid anything scratch-n-sniff though.

But seriously, I'd probably go for a rack tuner too.

Re: How to use final rack space.....

Definately put a tuner at the top of the list. I have a Korg DTR-2 that I wouldn't trade for the world.

I had a Rocktron Intelleffect Online and the earlier Intellipitch but I traded in the Intelleffect when I bought the G Major. They were basically redundant except the Intellipitch has a 3 voice harmonizer and a reverse delay.

The Rocktron units are very transparent sounding with some great choruses, delays and reverbs as well as the Hush circuit. I had the intelleffect for close to three years so I'm sure I can answer a few questions about it.

I think the tuner is mandatory before you go further...

That or maybe some sort of lighting?

Re: How to use final rack space.....

all of my processors in my rack include a tuner. i'd leave it empty (it doesn't *have* to be filled) and your back will thank you.

Re: How to use final rack space.....

do NOT add another hush buddy...2 noise gates will have a pretty negative affect on your tone...I would go with a rack mount tuner or a BBE sonic maximizer...if you have anymore questions, as alwasys feel free to call me. The Intellifex Online is the SAME as the older blackface Intellifex but with the online stuff...did you get a manuel??? Like I said give me a call and we'll talk.

Later bro

Re: How to use final rack space.....

Forgive me for being a bit new to the rack world, but what exactly is the sonic maximizer and what does it do? I notice there are numbers after all of them, I guess they are all different models. So what's the difference between all of them? And also, are Sabine tuners any good, or should I stick with Korg? And which models? Thanks.

The BBE Sonic Maximizer... personally I wouldn't be able to describe its exact effects, but I've heard that it not only adds definition but just makes your tone sound sharper and just better... Maybe someone else will tell you more about it than that.

If you get a tuner, get a KORG!! The model Robert suggested is a great tuner for anything you could possibly want. Either that, or a wireless system.

From my understanding it synchronizes the high's and low's.
