How to wire for this...YT

On a Les Paul (Tokai LoveRock) would the Jimmy Page wiring be the closest to this?

I would also like to try this from scratch on maybe a PRS SE. Could someone modify one of the schematics to match this exactly and post it here?

I sent the guy a message. He said he had it on paper somewhere but nothing in electronic form. Didn't seem to have the ability to scan it in. Also said, "The amp is a Princeton Reverb, and the pups are Neck = Duncan Alnico II Pro; Bridge = Duncan JB."

Also just got this message: The key is the wiring on the DPDT "on/on/on" switches. The series/parallel switch is cool too, but it's just an extra.

Thanks

Actually, thats all stuff we've covered a dozen times on the forum.

It takes two SPDT on-off-on switches to do the splitting, and a DPDT on-on for the series-parallel. Like this:

The last switch there is the standard LP-style 3-way.

P.S. The JP wiring isn't even close. ;)

I have the 21-sound Jimmy Page system on my LP's & 335's. I prefer it because I think it's a little more versatile than this guy's system, although his is nice. Shortcomings are that he's using 3 knobs & 3 mini-toggles, whereas the Page system uses the standard 4 knob set-up; his requires more fiddling for him, which is a big drawback on stage. I don't think he needs 6 controls to accomplish what he wants. I see no benefit from a master volume control on a guitar (on an amp, yes), neither do most guitar manufacturers, as this is a relic that's just hanging on. Using the neck screw coil vs neck slug coil provides no difference, unless paired with a single coil from the bridge PU (the screw & slug coils on the bridge have a big difference in tone, as one is twice as far from the bridge as the other).

I like to see players experiment with alternative wirings. This guy's creative & a good guitarist. If he's happy, all is fine. He's experimenting & I encourage that. You can get these tones, plus phase, in the Jimmy Page system and not have to drill holes in your guitar (I used a diagram from Guitar Electronics). If he later changes PU's from 4 to 1 conductor, he has a guitar that looks like a piece of swiss cheese (I never use mini-toggles for that reason).

You can isolate the part of the Jimmy Page system that switches the PU's from being in parallel together, to being in series, and you can do this with a single conductor PU (yes, it works for SC's too!).

Artie, I don't understand. Why are the SPDT switches wired with a ground AND a hot wire? I thought to set it up for a coil-cut the hot wire isn't necessary? These kind of contradicting schematics are what is driving me crazy. One picture there is no hot wire to the SPST switch on another there is a hot wire.

Can you check out my other thread I was hoping you'd comment on the picture I posted. Thanks.

I agree 100%. But, alternative wirings can be fun. I go a step farther and only use one volume pot.

They don't actually contradict. With ground wires only, you split to the stud coil. With ground and hot, you select between stud or screw coil. Its just a matter of how far you want to go.

Been there, done that. :)

Thank you for your input. I sent RPGuitar this link and what has been posted was off compared to what he had. I've been working with Roger over the last couple of days to nail this down. He was able to describe his wiring and I was able to sketch it out. This is how it looks:
