how would i wire up the following to the switch, i cant figure it out:

position 1: neck split
position 2: neck humbucker
position 3: combined humbucker
position 4: bridge humbucker
position 5: bridge split

i have 1 volume, 1 tone and a standard 5 way switch. my pickups have 4 wires so i can split a humbucker up

ive looked on both the duncan and dimarzio sites for wiring diagrams for this setup but i cant find any. thanks

No can do...that's why you don't see a simple diagram of how to do it.

Re: How would I wire this?

why isnt it possible? because of the switch?

surely there must be some way to wire it, even if it is some complex custom wiring?

Re: How would I wire this?

The best way of doing this in my mid (quick and dirty, mind you), is to use a pair of push/pull pots in conjunction with a normal three way switch. Wire one pot to split one pickup. This should give you the sounds you want, plus combos of single coils and humbuckers that you can't get with your intended setup.

yeah i know i can use push/pulls but id rather not (Besides, i dont have any anyway), so im just trying to do it with what i have atm

Do you have a multi-pole 5 way switch, or just a regular strat style 5 way? If it's the latter, and you don't want to buy anything, then I don't see it happening either.
