How would this sound?

how do you guys think a Jackson KE3, aldur body, with a dimebucker in the bridge and a 59 in the neck would sound running through a 4x12 Spider II amp? just wondering what you guys would think cause i plan on getting these pickups soon.

Re: How would this sound?

I think the guitar would sound good, but that Spider II is liable to rob it of its character.

Re: How would this sound?

I would think the '59 wasn't hot enough for you. I would try a DD neck perhaps. But if you like it, don't change a thing.

Re: How would this sound?

yeah your quite right i like the dirty sound of the DD in the neck more than the '59 model but i like the cleaner sound of the '59 a tad better, but whatever it just seems to go like that, the better the distorted the worse the clean, i think i might just go with the DD, it still has a nice clean by the sound of it

Much better cleans than you'd think, yes. And it blows faces off when overdriven, which is always a plus when you're looking to do that.

Re: How would this sound?

k well i plan on this for being my new set up, but would this still be good for playing deep purple and stuff? cause i play some of that in my band, and yeah just curious, i can try and make a more rock sound through my spider II but would that work good with the dimebucker?

Dimebucker isn't as versitile as the DD if you ask me. And I think you should use your own tone, not always try to immulate. I use my heavy tone for covering Zep's Rock and Roll and it sounds killer. Make it your own.
