i have these pedals on my board and im just curious on how you would arange them from guitar to amp.

Re: How would you arange these?

guitar>tuner>wah>phaser>wylde OD>chorus>amp. that's pretty much how my signal chain will be as soon as i get my wah from lucid, minus the tuner. i know most people say to put modulation after the distortion, but i think it's better before distortion. i get a smoother signal out of it that way, though you may like it between the chorus and OD.

when you say modulation do you mean the phaser?

If I'm not mistaken, the phaser is more like a wah in technical terms, so it's not a time-based modulation effect the way a chorus or flanger would be.

P.S. I like the order Ska suggests.

Re: How would you arange these?

wah, phaser, OD, chorus, tuner.

-OR-

od, wah, phaser, chorus, tuner.

Tuner at the end to mute the entire pedalboard.

Re: How would you arange these?

place the phaser after od for a swooshier sound. phasers before dirt are more subtle but you can hear the phase modulating on high depth setting with the dirt on when not playing.

I'm not criticizing - just wondering... if the tuner is at the end, don't you have to turn off all the effects before you can tune? I would think some of the effects would make it hard for the tuner to pick out the correct pitch.

This is why I like to leave the tuner near the front of the chain.

Maybe, maybe not. I don't use any modulation effects other than a wah and even so, my phaser was off when I used it when I tuned anyway. Another nice part about a buffered tuner at the end is that it not only mutes the pedalboard, but the buffer is decent enough to drive a long cable run back to the amp.

I was not aware of that. Good to know.

Me?

Wah-->OD-->Phaser-->Chorus-->Tuner

On my personal rig, though, I use a Visual Volume at the end of the chain, and it has a tuner out jack. This works well with the Seiko Tunemaster.

Just so you know, some tuners (and pedals in general) have horrible buffered bypass. Boss has been doing it for a long time. Theirs is decent enough to get the job done. Not the best out there, but good enough for a majority.
