Im looking at buying a cheaper guitar and doing some work on it, so i have something more mellow than my BC Riches.

Vintage guitar mag liked it, i wanted to hear what you guys think?

I searched the forums and found basicly nothing about them.

I just know thats what im looking for, humbucker inthe bridge and a single in the neck with a maple fretboard and a very normal strat type look.

Plus with a splitable bridge, i "should" get good sound.

Just want some words of warning b4 i rush out and buy one.

Re: Hows the new squire 51?

They sell new for around $149.00, and they are well worth that...I think they are pretty cool...not really what I need in a guitar but very well built and very modern/vintage cool!

Re: Hows the new squire 51?

I just want to know if its good, or bad. Bad=Squire bullet or anything affinity.

If its good, im ordering right away, i always wanted a good sunburst "Stratesque" guitar. But i ended up with big hair 80's shreader guitars heh...

Re: Hows the new squire 51?

It got good reveiws in Vintage guitar. I'm not crazy about the way the
pickguard has 2 Lil' arc's by the bridge. But I like the 51' P-bass look.
I DUNNO? A pair of Duncan's in it... It may be a player??

Yea, what would be a good set for that? bridge is splitable so i dont know.
