Hi all,
I have an EBMM Silhouette with an HSH pickup configuration. I've currently got a set of Whole Lotta Humbuckers and an 50's Antiquity single coil in the middle. The bridge pickup is just perfect - ideal for crunchy classic rock type tones and singing leads. The other two pickups are good, but not quite what I'm looking for. The WLH in the neck sounds a little wooly to my ears, I'm looking for something that can really sing for leads but isn't too bassy when I play chords etc.
For the single coil, my biggest thing is having a pickup that sounds good with 500k pots and will blend really well with the humbuckers and when split in the 2 and 4 positions. Right now those sounds aren't my fav.
How would the Saturday Night Special blend with the WLH? Any single coil (or single coil sized) pickups that blend really well these humbuckers in conjuncton with 500k pots?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
