HSH Triple Shot with Mega Switch E

Hi everyone,

So, last night I attempted my first proper guitar mod by installing a Schaller Mega switch and some new pickups into my Fender Prodigy. At the moment, the selelctor offers the following options:

Bridge HB
Bridge Split + Middle SC
Bridge split + Neck split
Neck split + Middle SC
Neck HB

I would now like to get the option of having the bridge humbucker in series, parallel or split coil operation. Would it be possible to wire a triple shot to control the humbucker in position 1 only and leave the 5 way switch unaffected in other positions?

Aside from a mini toggle which will be my last resort, is there a way to accomplish what I'm asking?

I would use a push/pull or push/push for series and parallel. In my experience there's not a huge difference between split and parallel.

I'll look into that then, the parallel option is really what I'm after more than anything. Any idea how to wire it?

Assuming your using a Duncan there are plenty of wiring diagrams on the site. If you can't find anything, there are people much smarter than me on here who can help.

This is essentially the diagram, although the hot wire would go to the switch.

I've been looking through the diagrams but as I'm so new to this I've not found anything that makes sense to me. Wouldn't know how to adapt a wiring diagram if it wasn't exactly what I needed. Thanks Mincer I'll have a look at that one. I'm using a 59/Custom Hybrid in the bridge, the other two are Irongears.

One other thing. The mega switch enables auto spliting of the humbucker in position two. Would this retain that functionality or would I need to make some new connections?

Mincer, I wired up the push/push switch following that diagram, except I took the hot black wire from the switch to the pickup selector. I soldered everything back to where it was but now I'm not getting any signal out of the guitar at all. Any idea what I might have done wrong?

Can you take some pics? The MegaSwitches are sort of strange (I use a few of them), but they aren't as flexible as something like a 24 pole switch. Maybe I or someone else here can sort it out.
