HSS - Strat pickguards question, trembuckers

So I have this 2002 MIM HSS Standard Strat I've been planning to switch all the pickups out of. I plan to throw a trembucker in there and I'm not too keen on the fact that I'll have to drill for the trembucker mounting. So I'm thinking new pickguard.

I have never once replaced a pickguard. All I know is genuine fender parts, but am I right that Warmoth is basically the go-to for this scenario? Are there other places I should look into?

The trembuckers measure 2.79" wide, while the stock humbucker in my strat is approx 2.69. I'm not sure how big a deal that is to rout that out but a new pickguard sounds like a better setup.

Re: HSS - Strat pickguards question, trembuckers

I have an HSS mim strat that I just modified with a Cool Rails in the neck, Custom Strat Stack in the middle and JB Trembucker in the bridge. The pickguard just needed minimal Dremelling to get the new pickups to fit. The screws that came with the JB were too long so I used the original screws and springs for the JB and it worked fine. By the way, I LOVE the sound from this combo which was recommended by the"pickup selector". I also put in a new volume and tone pot, the 250 ohm Yngwie's. Thank you SD!!

5 minutes, a round/flat file, & some sand paper will make a Trembucker fit in any Strat guard routed for a Humbucker & its a lot cheaper than ordering a cut one from Warmoth?

eBay has quite a few HSS pickguard options to choose from, just make sure it fits Fender Strats.
