I could use some help figuring out the correct wiring for my new HSS Partscaster build. I've searched the forum, and tried a few suggestions, but so far, I have not found the correct wiring.
The pickups? Pearly Gates (Bridge) and two vintage single coils (2 wire cloth covered) for the neck and middle. The middle pickup is RW/RP.
BTW, I have a coil tap switch on the middle tone knob. I'd like to get that working.
I started with the standard wiring diagram with Black output, Red and White to coil tap, and green and bare to ground. This worked in 1,3,4, and 5 positions, but position 2 sounded thin and weak.
Next, i found a thread which suggested using white as the output, this works, in all the positions, but when I switch the coil tap on, it sounds weak and very thin.
Can anyone tell me the correct bridge wiring to use with this pickup arrangement?
