Anybody tried this set up????

thinking P-Rail at bridge and either a couple of Classic Strat Plus N/M or Classic Strat Plus at Middle and Cool Rail at neck. Gonna go 1 Vol (push pull) and one tone (push pull) with 5 way switch. Push/Pull's will ONLY affect the P-Rail. Both down gives me Series Hum, Vol only up gives me rail (sc), Tone only up gives me P90 and both up give me Parallel Hum.

Even the cooler of the p-rails is very hot in series. This wouldn't play well with any s/c apart from a hotrails neck. The parallel is like a typical PAF humbucker, so you might get it to play ok with a ssl 5. Typically there is a volume drop between vintage singles and humbuckers.

Good choice...P-Rails is a great pup with lots of options and works very well combined with singles when in parallel, P-90, or Rail. As AlexR said, in series it is very powerful and full sounding and can overpower singles.

Thx guys for the replies,
What if I went a bit hotter(than the Classic Stack Plus)on the SC's? Say the Vintage Hot Stack Plus or Custom Stack Plus or Quarter Pound for N/M positions?
Thoughts? I have a H/S set up in my So Cal now (Custom Custom@bridge and Cool Rail@Neck) which is a great set up, I just wanna a bit more Strat-ish. Any one familiar with how the CC behaves when split? Could use it at bridge with the Classic Stack Plus n/m or one of the others I mentioned.
I wanna have a MEGA versatile strat.....classic rock/ southern/newer country sorta gig
